Julie Grisham received a Bachelor of Science in Home Economics with a concentration in Interior Design from the University of Arkansas, Fayetteville, in 1976. After graduation, she accepted a position with International Graphics as a Contract Furniture Manager in Little Rock, and was with them 5 years. She then joined the firm of Polk, Stanley Architects where she gained experience in interior design, budgeting, specification writing, and supervising furniture installation. After completion of several major projects for Polk, Stanley she worked as a Contract Furniture Representative and a freelance interior designer, at which time she worked for a year on contract basis with Alltel Corporation to coordinate the furniture installation for the new buildings. In 1993 she and Tina Thomas started their own interior design firm, Thomas * Grisham & Associates, Inc. In 1994, she was hired by Polk Stanley Saunders Architects and has been involved with several major projects. In 1996 had her own Interior Design Firm until hired by Shaw Industries as an Architectural/Designer Sales Representative in 1998. She then became an Architectural Design Consultant for Today’s Office in 1999 and worked there until October 2001. In October of 2001 she joined a new company, IDeA, Interior Design Associates and worked there until April 2007. She started Julie Grisham Interiors in April of 2007 where she has worked until the present time.
